A lot has happen in the world over the past few months. Our Juneau office has reopened and we are resuming some of our travel clinics, but are proceeding with caution. The health & safety of our patients, our staff & the communities that we serve are of the utmost importance to us. We’ve updated our appointment protocol, made physical changes to our office & have implemented the following steps to help ensure that we’re doing our part in keeping COVID-19 out of our office & our communities:

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

PPE Wear

Masks are required to enter our office. Each patient must wear their own mask during their appointment. If a patient arrives to their appointment without a mask, their appointment will be cancelled & they will have to pay a last-minute cancellation fee prior to rescheduling.

Patients Only in the Office

Although we typically encourage patients to bring a loved-one, we’re asking patients not to bring guests. With the exception of caregivers or parents, only patients with scheduled appointments will be allowed to enter the office.

Help Us Keep You & Others Safe

We’ve spaced out our appointments to ensure time for proper sanitizing & to ensure that only one patient is entering or leaving our office at a time. Please arrive on-time & follow our new arrival instructions.

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU ARRIVE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

Step 1*: When you arrive, please ring the doorbell located to the right of our front door.

Step 2*: We will bring a COVID-19 screening form & any other necessary paperwork out to you.

Step 3: Staff will review your COVID-19 screening form & take your temperature.

Step 4: Staff will escort you directly to your provider’s freshly sanitized room for your appointment.

*At travel clinic locations we do not have a doorbell. There will be a sanitized clip board with our COVID-19 screening form & a new pen located outside of the testing room. Please fill out the screening room & wait for the Audiologist.

Pre-Appointment Screening

We will ask COVID-19 screening questions when an appointment is scheduled, during the confirmation call & when arriving to your appointment. We will also check vitals, such as temperatures, prior to entering our office.

Increased Sanitary Precautions

We have closed our waiting room, implemented new appointment check-in protocols for patients & have installed sneeze guards in provider rooms. Surfaces, rooms & equipment will be thoroughly sanitized between each appointment. Staff will also be wearing appropriate PPE.

Practicing Social Distancing

We will maintain a 6-foot distance whenever possible. We will not be using our check-in or check-out counters to help ensure proper social distancing. Appointments are spaced out to ensure only one patient will be entering or exiting our office at a time.

Telehealth Visits

Meet directly with our providers & staff for many services including: troubleshooting & counseling.

Appointment Protocols

Only patients with scheduled appointments will be allowed into the office. Walk-ups can utilize our drop-box or curbside/drive-up services. We have new check-in protocols for patients arriving to their appointments.

Hearing Aid Dropbox

To the right of our front door is a locked box* for contactless device servicing. *Juneau office only.

Curbside/Drive-Up Services

Pick up supplies, repair drop-off & pick-up, device maintenance & more.

Mail Delivery Services

We will mail supplies including: batteries, wax guards, domes & repairs.

These updates are posted outside of our office & are emailed to every patient who schedules an appointment. Thank you for following our new protocols as we all adjust to this new normal.
